The wind and solar hybrid power generation system is mainly composed of wind turbine, solar photovoltaic battery pack, controller, battery, inverter, AC and DC loads and other parts. The system is a composite renewable energy power generation system integrating wind energy, solar energy and storage battery and other energy generation technologies and system intelligent control technology.

(1) Wind power generation part is to use wind turbines to convert wind energy into mechanical energy, through the wind generator to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy, and then through the controller to charge the battery, through the inverter to the load power supply;.

(2) The photovoltaic power generation part utilizes the photovoltaic effect of solar panels to convert light energy into electrical energy, and then charges the batteries, and then converts the direct current into alternating current through the inverter to supply power to the loads.

(3) The inverter system turns the DC power in the battery into standard 220v AC power to ensure the normal use of AC power load equipment. At the same time, it also has the function of automatic voltage stabilization, which can improve the power supply quality of the wind and solar hybrid power generation system.

(4) The control part constantly switches and adjusts the working state of the battery pack according to the changes of sunshine intensity, wind power and load: On the one hand, the adjusted power is directly sent to DC or AC loads. On the other hand, the excess power is sent to the battery bank for storage. When the power generation can not meet the needs of the load, the controller sends the power of the battery to the load, which ensures the continuity and stability of the whole system.

(5) The battery part consists of multiple batteries, which play two roles of energy regulation and load balancing in the system at the same time. It converts the electrical energy output from the wind power generation system and photovoltaic power generation system into chemical energy and stores it for use when the power supply is insufficient.

The wind and photovoltaic complementary power generation system can operate in the following three modes according to the wind and solar radiation changes:

(1) wind turbines alone supplying power to the load; and

(2) The photovoltaic system alone supplies power to the load; (3) The wind turbine and the photovoltaic system alone supply power to the load.

(3) Wind turbines and photovoltaic power generation system jointly supply power to the load.
